PERSONALITY

Becoming a vampire made her see the world in a different light while maturing her as well; she became much more responsible and protective, which she proves when comforting Tyler on the night of his first full moon and refusing to leave him, despite knowing that one bite would kill her. Ironically, she appreciates life more since becoming a vampire. Moreover, despite having killed a man, she hadn't killed again in several months, thus showing an impressive amount of control for a newly turned vampire. Caroline is described as an "expert" in self-control. It seems that she does not desire the cure, as Klaus puts it, "You prefer who you are now to the girl you once were. You like being strong, ageless, fearless." Being a vampire has helped show her what she could do with her life. She could see the world and have a thousand more birthdays. It was Klaus who showed her that she is no longer bound by trivial human conventions and with her immortality and abilities as a vampire, she is free.

“So I’m a little obsessive over things…isn’t everyone? I can’t help feeling the way that I feel, it’s my new nature, because of what I am. I suppose everything is heightened now and it makes it different. Is that the way when you feel something for someone? I have given into my darkest thoughts and darkest temptations to be with someone and my friends don’t even know…is that so wrong? But I can’t help the way I feel about him, but that doesn’t mean I’m going to lose myself to the darkness. I’m strong and full of light…so I have been told. And I’ve done nothing but redeeming things and the need to help the people that I love”

Caroline Forbes is a Vampire who is best friends with Elena Gilbert, Bonnie Bennett and Stefan Salvatore (although they have recently slept together and admitted to having feelings for each other). Before she turned into a Vampire she was very insecure and often obsessed about competing with Elena as she felt that Elena had everything and she had nothing. Caroline is a very upbeat character and tends to think of the positives in situations rather than the negatives. Caroline has dated both Matt Donovan and Tyler Lockwood but left Matt for his own safety after being turned. She becomes a Vampire when Katherine Pierce kills her while she is in the hospital recovering from a life threatening accident that left Damon having to give her some of her blood so that she could heal. Reasons behind Katherine’s idea to turn her was that Caroline was to be used in part of Klaus’s ritual alongside Tyler to break his curse so that he can become a hybrid, but Damon saves them both.

Caroline’s relationship with Tyler becomes strained over the coming months, eventually ending because he chooses to act out his revenge on Klaus for killing his mother and ruining his life rather than being the better man and leaving it to continue on with their relationship and his own life. Eventually Klaus returns to Mystic Falls and him and Caroline have one night of passion, which Katherine reveals to Tyler at a party when she is passengered in Elena's body unknown to Caroline. After that, Tyler and Caroline are over for good.

She was attending Whitmore College along with Elena and Bonnie and trying to move on with her life and happiness which didn't get to last for long when the otherside begins to collapse thanks to the travelers spell which pushed all supernatural beings out of Mystic Falls lest they lose the magic keeping them alive. Eventually they overwhelm the travelers when Damon and Elena drive Damon's Camaro into the Mystic Grill. Everyone lost makes it back from the otherside before it collapses except for Bonnie and Damon who are now stuck in a prison world. Things go good when they return several months later, only to get bad again when Caroline's mother dies, causing her to flip her humanity switch and go on a killing spree despite the efforts on her friends parts to get her to turn it back on. Eventually they manage it, bringing a damaged Caroline back from the darkness that had consumed her, giving her another chance to reclaim her life despite everything that has happened.

• Please don’t come asking to write with me and expect me to plot it all myself. It’s not fun having a one sided thread.


• I don’t care how long you take to reply, I really don’t. Everyone has their own pace and picky muses and real life stuff going on. I get that because I’m like that too. After a month with no reply from you I’ll send an ask to inquire about it, but I won’t pester, and after that I’ll consider it dropped if you don’t reply to my ask or two more weeks go by. I like to keep my tracker somewhat up to date so that I know I can pick up other threads.


• I am open to roleplay with any character from any fandom, verse or era, including well thought out original characters. If I don't know the fandom, I'll research or ask questions. Right now I'm not familiar with Teen Wolf although I plan on watching it shortly. Caroline is multiship and multiverse as well as heteroflexible so homoerotic ships are quite possible since I don’t like constraining a muse to a certain sexuality.


• Romantic TVD ships (in no particular order): Klaus/Caroline, Stefan/Caroline, Matt/Caroline, Enzo/Caroling, Katherine/Caroline (of course AU things can happen and crackships too) I also have a particular fondness for a crossover with Sam Winchester. All are chemistry based though, so please don't force ships on me.


• I will add my own headcanons and I’ll also divert from canon to help with my own character development. Please take note of that and read his headcanons when available.


• I don’t expect you to match the lengths or depth of my replies, but please, PLEASE give me and my character something to work with. — “Thanks.”, she said, looking down shyly. — What am I supposed to make of that? I can come up with new topics for them to talk about and things to do sometimes, alright, but I’ll drop the thread if this becomes a habit and it gets too uninteresting.


• My writing style is para/multi-para. But I can do the smaller icon threads as well, I just am allergic to one lining and won’t do it. If you consistently do it my attention will drift and I’ll drop the thread. I just have a writer’s heart, so I prefer longer threads where I can release my muse to run amok, at least a paragraph or so from my end.


• I have a private life as well as a pretty severe illness that knocks me out of commission at times, so please don’t rush me. I’m pretty good with getting replies out every other day or so, but sometimes it may take me longer if I’m sick. If I go past a week without replying, I’ve either lost it (which at that point go ahead and send me an ask to inquire about it) or I don’t have muse for it at the time and will reply when I can. If that is the case, I’m so sorry I suck :(


• Do not godmod. I’m allergic to it. I decide how my baby responds and you decide how yours responds. Unless I express my trust in you or we discuss it before hand, do not attempt to write for my character.


• I do not always follow back. When I notice that you followed me, I’ll look at your blog and if I can see our characters interacting, I’ll follow you back and likely send you an ask to plot (unless I’m swamped, then I’ll just wait until I free up some space for more threads). You of course are welcomed and encouraged to come into my ask to plot. I’ll tell you if I’m swamped or not. If I am, we can plot still and either you start it or we can wait for a bit until I free up a few threads and I will.


• I like to keep my following list to people that I actually write with, want to write with, or just all around enjoy admiring from afar. That being said, If I follow you and it has been a while and we haven’t interacted I’m likely to unfollow unless you fall under the other two categories. I will also unfollow after a month of inactivity. I’m not going anywhere, so whenever you come back just send me an ask and I’ll re-follow <3


• I am 21+ and given the type of character I am portraying, please be mature enough to handle R rated content. Gore, blood, death, murder, torture, etc might all possibly be relevant here. If you have triggers and would like me to tag something specific, please ask and I will!
